After graduating as a performance artist, Chinese native Nadh tries to become a professional artist in the Netherlands. They get one year to generate enough income, or else they need to leave the country. During this ‘search year’ they find their creative ambition in constant conflict with Dutch bureaucracy. Is this society, that claims to champion liberty, individuality and autonomy, truly free?
